George Hurrell (June 1st, 1904 - May 17th, 1992).
His photographic work was mainly Hollywood Glamour during the 1930s and 1940s.
He was born in the Walnut Hills district of Cincinnati, Ohio,
He originally studied to be a painter.
In the late 1920s, he was signed by MGM Studios as head of the portrait photography department.
In 1932 he left MGM and went on to run his own studio.
In the 1930s, he photographed every star contracted with MGM Studios and in the 1940s, photographed the stars contracted with Warner Brothers Studios and later Columbia Pictures.

Erwin Blumenfield (1897 - 1969).
Born 26th January, 1897, in Berlin.
He is best known for his fashion photography for Vogue and Harper's Bazaar in the 1940s and 1950s.
In addition to fashion photography, he produced an extensive body of celebrity portraiture, fine-art photography, drawings, and Dada collages.
He began his career as an apprentice dress maker and later opened a store specialising in ladies handbags.He did his first double page spread in French Vogue in 1937.
In the 1950s, he was reported to be the highest paid photographer in the world.
