So, while on one of my makeup scavenger hunts at Walgreens I came across the Tattoo Junkee Lip Paints in "Bubble Gum". I had recently watched Tati from Glam Life Guru on YouTube and she had reviewed this with such high reviews. I am a huge glitter fan and I mean HUGE! So when I came across these, it was like winning the lottery. Sadly my winnings were short lived.
As much as I wanted to love this, I just can't. Don't get me wrong it's not a horrible product, its just not for me. This is a two step process and I learned very quickly that timing was everything. After applying the liquid lipstick I had to quickly dip my finger into the glitter pot and press the glitter to my lips. I did my lower lip, then my upper lip. The look itself was beautiful. The feeling of it on my lips was not so great.
As my smile was literally shinning bright like a diamond, my lips felt as if they had been doused with sand. The glitter is very gritty and ended up inside my mouth. No sooner then I had placed the glitter on my lips, I was chomping on glitter grit. My lips also felt dry and prune-ish. While trying out the "kiss test" (I mean, why not. Someone had to LOL) I was quite surprised of the lack of transfer. I was sure my boyfriend was going to look like he made out with a unicorn. He had a few specs of glitter nothing crazy as I had anticipated.
I could not wear this lip combo long at all. On the bright side, this removed quickly and easily with a makeup wipe. I did have to rinse out my mouth with water for any glitter that somehow made its way inside from the removal process.
This was not a total flop, I will use both the liquid lipstick and the glitter separately just not together. I am sad, I really wanted this to work for me.
Till next time,
Amber
