Retrospect Vintage

This is a pretty neat store. I actually don't visit it too often. I love the concept of it and how it feels like you are taking a step back in time once you enter the doors.

I have to be honest, I liked it better when it was at its larger location, but for whatever reason Retrospect decided to downsize to a much more boutique like store, I'm happy we still have it. What I also sort of take issue with is the pricing. A relic of a t shirt donning some obscure name of a soccer team from out west 30 years ago could cost you $30. You KNOW that make me frown a bit, especially since Im used to nabbing better for cheaper. But hey, one woman's obscure tee is another woman' dream tee. I encourage you Philly peeps to check them out and develop your own opinion.

Thus far I found grey sperrys, really cool chambray, a silk button down, and dooney and bourke cross body bag. It is worth the visit.

PROS:
- has a great flow of merchandise.
- very clean
- nice and helpful staff
- the housewares section is vintage paradise

CONS:
- for consignment, its unusually overpriced

TIPS:
- look for the $5 rack. Sometimes you can find super cool things there. (This is where I found my light blue denim chambray and Express silk button down).
- walk around and look at different things, you will find treasure among some of the super vintage 80s sweatshirts and old team tees.
