Zoya Lovely Swatches, Review, Nail Art

Here is another collection from Zoya called Lovely for Spring 2013.  Just as the name suggests, this collection is super springy and fresh!  It has three pastel metallics and three pastel creams.  Many of these were designed for Spring/Summer Fashion Week.  Here are my thoughts on these new shades.

Gie Gie is a full coverage polish, described as a "Blushing Cherry Blossom Pink Metallic". It is a pastel pink with obvious shimmer in it. I love it, so girly, fresh and springy. Below are some dotticures and nail art I did using the other shades from the Zoya Lovely for Spring 2013.

Aren't the shades so pretty and fresh?  The combinations are eye-catching and lovely.  I will definitely keep this collection in mind for some amazing Easter nail art.

Jacqueline is described as a nude cream, but to my eyes, it has definite yellow tones.  I love this shade.  It looks very clean on the nails.  Usually light creams are streaky, but this one is not.  I really like the formula.  Below are some nail art using Jacqueline as a base.

Adorable shades!

Blu (sunlight)

Blu is a very pretty hyacinth blue cream.  So springy and Easter egg-y!  Even though this is a pastel cream, I didn't have any problems with streaking.  This is definitely one of my favorites in this collection.

Piaf (Originally designed for Fashion Designer Zang Toi) (sunlight)

Piaf is described as a "Fresh Forsythia Yellow Metallic".  It looks clean on the hands, and it actually looks gold to me than yellow (probably because of the shimmer).

Neely (sunlight) (Originally designed for Peter Som/SS13)

Another gorgeous color!  This is right up there together with Blu for me.  Neely is described as "Earliest Spring Green Cream".  I love how smooth this is on the nailbed, and this type of green shade is just amazing.  I can't wait for spring to wear this!

Julie (Originally designed for Zang Toi/SS13)

Zoya Lovely Spring

Pardon the oily cuticles!  Julie is described as a soft Wisteria purple metallic.  I have a lot of light purple creams but not much light purple metallics, so this is a welcome addition to my collection.

All in all, the Zoya Lovely is the perfect collection to welcome spring.  Admittedly, these colors are not unique, but they are lovely in their own right.  I particularly like Blu, Neely and Julie.  Also, as you can see in my nail art swatches, these are great canvases for dotticures (dot manicures), cutesy and springy nail art.

These shades are available on the Zoya website starting January 1, 2013.

Note: Media sample was provided by a representative of the brand for consideration.  All opinions are completely mine.
